I love traditional art techniques & forms from many cultures, especially Asian art. I enjoy using old forms to create new content. My work is often inspired by what I read - poetry, Scripture, the Liturgy, & great literature. I love traditional Japanese, Pre-Raphaelite, and Mannerist painting, Ottoman tile work, Gothic architecture, and Byzantine Iconography, to name a few.
