The Little Lay Oratory is a religious & intellectual organization that seeks to impart the spirit of Byzantine monasticism in a little way to people who are in the world. It was created to provide a place of shared worship, a place to study & discuss our Faith & the fundamental questions of the human condition, a place of life-long learning.

 

We hope to help those who value a  faith-filled intellectual life, who are busily entrenched in the joys and challenges of life but longing for learning in community, to find some solace with like-minded lovers of learning.

We also hope to build community, foster friendships, and connect through our shared pursuit of truth, while sharing good Italian coffee and wine. Ultimately, we would like to unite with others of a like mind to form a community on the land where we can come together to garden, connect with creation, encourage permaculture, share meals and meal preparation, help one another with childcare, pray together, and offer spiritual and intellectual studies, lectures, & discussions to our members.
